Any individual who may be claimed as the dependent of another taxpayer must file a return if he or she had a gross income of $750 or more and received any unearned income during the year. Even if a student did not make enough money this year to require a return, he may have had income tax with held from his pay. If so, he should file a return, claim your personal exemption and get your refund. The Bryan Internal Revenue Ser vice, 219 North Main (Varisco Building), will open Wednesdays 10 a. m. - 4:30 p.m. for taxpayer assis tance. The IRS is also offering toll free telephone assistance at (800) 492-4830. After a year of making the changes, it’s great. Dr. Koldus, vice president for student services I’d like to see things continued. That doesn’t mean every thing’s perfect. I can’t think of many things on whiclj people are going to agree. But as long as the good relations are there, you can work the problems through. I thought A&M was great and I haven’t changed my mind. Clark Diebel, controller I know that there have been complaints about the fee struc ture but I believe the fees are still below other institutions in Texas, even with the building use fee increase. In our operation, we, like anyone else, felt the effects of inflation. This meant that every department head has had to watch his pennies. That’s good. He should be doing that anyway. Edwin H. Cooper, dean of admissions and records Considering the volume of new students we’ve had a great year. We’ve had the largest enrollment in the history of the school. We’ve made a wholehearted attempt to treat students individually and refer them to the various counselling services on campus. We haven’t had a significant number of com plaints ... I think there is a tremendous challenge for us to continue with the focus on the individual ... It is the most singular positive thing about our school. Carolyn Adair, director of student activities ’74 was such a year of reorganization. A big plus will be the association between divisions we built in the student services division. We’ve started to function as a family with the realiza tion that what we do may affect someone on the other side of cam pus. I hate to see the school grow. With the construction we have now we can handle the enrollment and it would be so nice to enjoy that for a while. J. Wayne Stark, director, MSC In 1974 I finished my twenty-seventh year at A&M and far it was the most exciting, challenging and rewarding yearofi work on campus. The student body as a group to me measu in a number of ways as a most exciting group. The student tod at A&M is to me extremely honest on the whole—there j of course, exceptions—and wants the older generation tobefo est with themselves and with those with whom they work.H student body is very fair if they are given all the fact unadulterated. Students today on this campus are much mu willing to do something to correct problems and to corn them through existing channels. The student appetite for thn ual and performing arts is refreshing to me. The faculty to; overall is the most exciting since I’ve been here. There; more sharp interesting personalities who are interested only in their class but in other areas such as the visual andp forming arts. Last is the tremendous physical plant. When; planning for this center began we had been told of plans (See CAMPUS, page 5) si of in \v di ar Bi th tn to <dd»l MiUlUA CASABLANCA BAKEWARE ENSEMBLE 28 PIECE SET OF OVEN PROOF DISHWASHER PROOF BAKEWARE UNIVERSITY DR.
