SUBJECT: Prohibition Against Soliciting on Campus
Solicitation on campus is not permitted. There is no authority
for persons employed by the University or employed off campus
to solicit membership in organizations, sell merchandise,
loan, c'Elect or interfere with your work while you are on
campus and being paid by .is department.
“Translated into common English the above simply means to
Food Services employees that if you talk politics or assist in the for
mation of a labor union, YOU’RE FIRED!”
“A directive of this type at this particular time is a violation
of the supreme political instrument - The Bill of Rights encompassed
within the United States Constitution! Any time any centralized man
agement or political body uses this type of intimidation and threats
by being “tricky” with English language; it is time he had changes
within those bodies.”
“Personally, I strongly believe that all people should have the
right to express their political and personal feelings whether they
are a Food Service employee or atenured professor without fear of
job reprisal.”
“Let’s improve upon these freedoms within Texas A&M Univer
sity and the state of Texas.”
“In summary, I request a full-scale investigation, not a white
wash job, of the complaints of job abuse and job terminations that
have been explained to me by Food Service employees.”
“My opponents in this political race are afraid to step out on
this issue because they VITALLY NEED the support of these self-
serving, big machine boys.”
