It's easy—when you finish with your books, you trade
them in for cash! Then turn it into a down stroke on some
new stereo gear.
Whether it's enough for a system or just a new LP depends
on how many books you've got to sell, what condition
they're in, and whether or not there's a need for them
nationwide.
Whatever you want to use the money for it will sure beat
just letting them lie around collecting dust. So bring your
books over to the professional book-buyers at the bookstore
now, while your book is worth the most it will ever be.
Wait too long and chances are that all you'll get for your
books is someone elses song and dance.

‘Pokes Protest Redskin
Use of ‘Dirty Tricks’
Read
By DENNE H. FREEMAN
Associated Press Sports Writer
DALLAS (A 5 ) — Dallas Coach
Tom Landry disclosed Tuesday
that the Cowboys have filed a
protest with the National Foot
ball League office, charging the
Washington Redskins with trying
to jam quarterback Roger Stau-
bach’s signals.
Landry said Washington’s de
fense was yelling “Hut-Hut-Hut”
when Staubach was trying to call
signals in the 27-7 Cowboy vic
tory Sunday.
“We had six illegal procedure
penalties because of it,” Landry
said. “Our linemen complained
and we finally got the officials to
warn Washington and they quit.”
Landry said, “We protested to
the league office because it’s il
legal to jam quarterback signals.”
Landry and defensive line coach
Ernie Etautner got so upset over
the alleged “dirty tricks” by
Washington Coach George Allen
they edged onto the field.
In Washington, Allen’s reac
tion was: “Let them protest.
That’s just ridiculous.
“They’re still running illegal
motions and clipping and that
wasn’t called. Dave Robinson was
clipped on that kind of play and
it wasn’t called. Be sure to men
tion that.”
And with those comments, Al
len wheeled and left newsmen
standing alone.
Rugby Teams End
Successful Season
The A&M Rugby Club closed
the fall season with its maroon
and third teams taking two wins
from the Huntsville Rugby Club.
Rugby Union championships. The
Ags are looking forward to mak
ing it their fourth consecutive
title win.
The Maroon team faced a much
improved Huntsville team. After
a slow start, the Aggies domi
nated play, winning 32-0. Hunts
ville’s forwards didn’t once main
tain ball possession, leaving their
backs with no opportunity to
score.

Women who are interested in
“spending a little time with the
swimming team” will be inter
viewed Friday.
The women must register in the
Dean of Women’s Office, (Room
108 in the YMCA building) or at
the indoor swimming pool office.
The interview board will be
composed of Dean Toby Rives,
Coach Dennis Fosdick, Ted Bor-
iskie from the Battalion sports
staff, swim team co-captains
Steve Prentice and Dan Sonnen-
berg and a class representative
from the team.
“Previous knowledge of swim
meet operations is not a require
ment,” said Fosdick. “Only a will
ingness to spend one evening a
week with the team is necessary.”
After the “girl Friday’s” are
chosen, a training session will be
held to acquaint the girls with
swim meet procedure.
The Redskins have been having
a verbal feud with the Cowboys
for the past two years over what
Washington claims are illegal
crackback blocks on the lineback
ers by the Dallas man in moti n.
Last year, the charges were
made against Lance Alworth for
his blocks on linebacker Jack Par
dee who has since retired to be
come a Redskins coach.
Cowboy receivers, particularly
second-year tight end Gene Fu-
gett and rookie tight end Billy Joe
DuPree, jumped the snap on sev
eral occasions. A 54-yard bomb
from Staubach to Bob Hayes on
Dallas' second play was called
back because the Cowboys were in
motion.
Asked if Allen had tried to pull
the trick on the Cowboys before,
Landry answered, “Well, let’s just
say he picks his spots.”
The Cowboys can clinch the Na
tional Conference Eastern Divi
sion title Sunday with a victory
over St. Louis on the road.
Landry said that fullback Walt
Garrison played most of the game
against the Redskins with a hair
line fracture of a shoulder.
“It’s sore, but Walt will pad it
up and probably play against St.
Louis,” Landry said. “It'll take
more than that to keep him out
of a championship game.”
Landry said that defensive
tackle Bob Lilly, who played only
briefly against Washington be
cause of a knee injury, should be
better and ready to go against
the Cardinals.
