Egypt broke diplomatic relations with the United States during the 1967 Arab-Israeli war because of U. S. support for Israel. Since then the two countries have maintained contacts through small diplomatic missions in each other’s capitals under the flag of friendly nations. But these mis sions were not of formal ambassa dorial status. The news agency amounts of an exchange of amb came five hours after Anwar Sadat and State Henry A. Kissinger t three hours privately. Steaks to Make Sbisa Appearance Sirloin and T-bone steaks will make their appearance a weekly feature of the existing board .plan again starting Thursday, announced Col. Fred Dollar, di rector of Food Services. The decision to have steaks once a week was made in the first meeting of the joint menu .!board, which consists of five representatives from each of the three dining halls on campus. No members were present to represent students using Duncan Dining Hall. Dollar noted that the decision to cut three steaks from the five-week food cycle came earli er in the year when Food Serv ices was faced with either rais ing board costs again or running out of money. He said prices have now dropped, making pur chases less expensive. He added that two major items were dropped from the menu plan in exchange for the steaks: one turkey and dressing meal, which leaves three meals of that type; and the only Mexi can dinner that was served in the cycle. Dollar said that it costs his de partment $9,400 to pay for the meat alone in steak dinners. After receiving complaints from students who were unable to get second helpings on a recent meal, the director said he had made it clear to his personnel that stu dents should always get second helpings on at least one meat item. Dollar said that his personnel are studying the feasibility of re moving Saturday and Sunday breakfast meals to pay for a Sun day evening meal. Dollar said there has been some demand for this change, but that he would put it before paying board students for a vote before making any changes. In other business, Dollar noted that the annual Thanksgiving Din ner would be Nov. 15 for all stu dents. NEED STORAGE? U-STOW & GO At 2206 Finfeather Rd.
