Of Photography Show/
The International Photo Show
will be in Houston’s Astrohall
Thursday through Sunday.
The International Photo Show
is produced by the leading inter
national manufacturers and dis
tributors of photographic equip
ment. It is designed to bring the
art and craft of photography to
the Houston area.
The program is composed of
five basic areas: The Lecture
Series, The Photo Gallery, The
Equipment Fair, The Film and
Slide Series and the Special
Events Program.
The program will feature lec
tures on photography and photo
graphic technique, a film and
lain! about out
slide series and display demon
strations of cameras and other
photographic equipment.
There will be a Photo Gallery
consisting of photographs by na
tionally and internationally re
nowned photographers. There
will also be work of established
artists and journalists in the
photographic field.
A group of models from Hous
ton’s Fashion IV Agency will pose
for ready cameras. The show will
also feature a display of antique
cameras and prints.
A black photographers’ exhibit
will also be included in the Hous
ton show. The black photo
artists offer some of their his
tories and philosophies as a direct
influence upon their work.
The International Photo Show
is sponsored and produced by the
International Photo Optical Show
Association, Inc. The IPOSA is
a non-profit organization dedi
cated to the promotion of fine
photography and fine photo
graphic equipment.
The International Photo Show
reflects the artistic and educa-
cational aims of the IPOSA. It
attempts to make the show a local
event of relevance to the com
munity by involving local artists,
professionals and students.
