I Coach Shelby Metcalf an

in Bob Gobin.
| “Bob isn’t being replaced be-

Floyd, a sophomore, is averag
ing 11.2 points per game including
a nine point output in A&M’s loss
to Arkansas, in which the Aggies
played dismally.
“They just whipped us as a
team,” Metcalf said. “All five of
their’s whipped all five of ours
and that’s all there was to it.
“We haven’t played well since
Oklahoma and I think that’s due
to not playing at home for the
past eight games.
“I feel optimistic about the
future. We just need to play a
good game and do our job. We
have a lot of talent out there
and we just need to get back on
track.”
Texas Lutheran will start a
much smaller team than any op
ponent this year with the tallest
starter being 6-5.
Starting at the guard position
will be 5-9 Romero Davila of San
Antonio Lanier who has averaged
7 points per contest. Forwards
will be 6-2 Jimmy Watkins (20.8)
from Phoenix City, Ala., and Har
ry Miller, 6-5, from Eudora, Ark.,
and Howard County Junior Col
lege who has averaged 19.3 points
per game.
The two post men will be all
conference David Dullnig, 6-3,
from San Antonio Jefferson aver
aging 17.5 points per game, and
Mike Beukler, 6-5, from Wayzada,
Minn., averaging 14.2 points.
Leading rebounders are Wat

Miller averaging 9.4.
A&M’s other starters will be

There have been a number of
instances in recent years when
athletes and fans did not abide
by the tradition of standing at
attention during the playing of
the anthem.
“Who needs booing?” said
Jesse Abramson, director of the
Olympic Invitational. “Maybe it’s
out of time, out of place. But I
don’t think the anthem and the
flag should become an issue.”
At track meets, the national
