Kunze Dean of the Graduate College PARIS (A 5 ) — North Vietnam and the Viet Cong have laid the blame for delay in a Vietnam cease-fire solely on the United States. Hanoi demanded Monday that Washington “stop stalling.” The Viet Cong said it was will ing to go on with the peace talks later this week but will hold Washington responsible for fail ing to sign a cease-fire accord Tuesday. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Binh, the chief Viet Cong negotiator, vowed at a news conference that the Communists will fight “until total victory” unless the Nixon administration forces Saigon to accept the U.S.-North Vietnam ese draft agreement. A North Vietnamese broadcast quoted Nguyen Duy Trinh, North Vietnam’s vice premier and for eign minister, as saying responsi bility for the delay in signing “rests entirely with the U.S. side.” “The United States is trying to fool the public by saying that it will take just another session to settle various minor matters Ed King Named Checker King Ed King of Graham won the Aggie Open Checker Tournament. A previous winner of the event and top-ranked Southwest checker champ, King took the 1972 title over 16 entries in the weekend competition. The tourney ( Was hosted by the Recreation Cornttiittee of the Memorial Student Center. ...” he said. Trinh claimed that, “since Oct 11, the United States has many times demanded a revision of the contents of the agreement and of the signing schedule.” “If the United States does not stop stalling, the agreement can never be signed to end the war and restore peace in Vietnam, Trinh added. Jesse James has handled over 44 Billion Dollars of the peoples’ money with every dollar properly accounted for—as proven by annual reports of the State Auditor. Jesse James made for the people of Texas over $16,000,000.00 last year in interest earned on State Funds deposited in over 1,100 Texas Banks—more than any billion dollar bank in Texas made net in 1970 or 1971. Jesse James has financed a giant deficit in the General Revenue Fund — which on April 26, 1972, reached a deficit peak of $314,448,523.00 — without interest or discount cost to State Employees and people who furnish goods and services to Texas, such savings estimated to be over $50,000,000.00. If this $314,448,523.00 had been discounted by 3%, it would have cost the taxpayers over $9,420,000.00 for that period. Jesse James has proven he knows how to handle your State Finances efficiently.
