A&M Water Polo Team To Participate In Tough Northern California Tourney The A&M water polo team flew to San Francisco today to participate in the Northern Cali fornia Aquatic Federation Water Polo Tournament which runs through Saturday. The tournament, which fea tures some of the finest teams in the nation, should give the Ag gies valuable experience for fu ture competition. The 32-team affair is to be played in eight brackets of four teams each. The Aggies are in the bracket with San Jose State, Fullerton City College and Hum- bolt State. A&M is also slated to see action against San Francisco State, West Valley College and the University of Santa Clara. The starting unit for the Ag gies has put one Texan in its seven members. Drivers from nine different states and one from Canada will be on hand when practice gets underway next Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Entries include ARCA super- stars such as Iggy Katona, 57 year old two-time winner of the Daytona ARCA 300 from Willis, Mich., Andy Hampton of Louis ville, Ky., the second man to de feat Daytona twice and Ron Hutcherson from Keokuk, Iowa, the ’72 ARCA National cham pion. Among the top chauffers from Texas are H. B. Bailey who com petes in NASCAR’s Grand Amer ican Series, Tony Bettenhausen, Jr., Ronnie Chumley, John Haver and Phil Cronin, all from Hous ton. San Antonio drivers are Clarence Lovell and Paul Jett. Joe Plowman of Galveston and Louis Wusterhausen of Austin give Texas the largest number of entries for the ARCA classic.
