Texas Tech’s Jones Stadium will he filled to capacity as the Red Haiders host the Texas Long horns in a game which should shed much light on the race for the 1972 crown. Texas is the favorite by 12 points but Tech has showed some potent offense in victories over Utah and New Mexico. Tech is currently leading the conference in offense with over 500 yards a game. Texas is 1-0 and 12th ranked nationally after last week’s 23-10 victory over Miami in a rainy Memorial Sta dium. IMA Announces Women’s Action Women’s intramural basketball will get underway Wednesday, Oct 4, at 5:20 p.m. on the main floor of the DeWare Field House and will last for approximately eight weeks. Open handball entries are be ing accepted also and will be received at the Intramural Office until 5 p.m., Oct. 6. Class W (women staff) volley ball is scheduled to start Oct. 4, with Class Z (coed, three males and three females) will start Oct. 5. Sunday afternoon, volleyball courts will be set up in DeWare from 2:30-5 p.m., wtih six and three man challenge games sched uled/’ After three weeks of intra mural football activities, 34 teams remain undefeated in the four classes. Fourteen Class A handball teams remain unde feated at the conclusion of three weeks. Five football games ended in a tie this week. In Class A action, B-2 defeated C-l (0-0), and E-l defeated C-2 (0-0), both games were won on one 20-yard pene tration. Leggett defeated Fowler (12-12), and Crocker defeated Mclnnis (0-0) by one 20-yard penetration in Class C action.
