Page 4 College Station, Texas Friday, September 22, 1972 THE BAH/ Game Tabbed ‘Rout Of The Week 9 Aggies Take On Ninth-Ranked Tigers Saturday NiglU By BILL HENRY Having won but two of their past seven meetings, the Texas Aggies hope for a reversal of their luck Saturday night when they take on the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge. Lex James, a sophomore in 1970, led the team to a 20-18 win with a 79-yard bomb to split-end Hugh McElroy on the last play of the game. Louisiana fans still have not forgotten that tragic night. The game has been touted as “The Rout of the Week” by col umnist Steve Harvey who edits “Bottom Ten,” a weekly syndi cated article listing the 10 worst college football teams in the na tion. Texas A&M made it at num ber 10 this week. This will be the 36th meeting overall between A&M and LSU, First Full Week’s Activities Scheduled For SWC Teams By KEVIN COFFEY The Southwest Conference en ters its third week of action with all nine teams under the gun for the first time. We cheer, we sing and shout. It takes teamwork to put a man over that goal line. The whole team must work together to move that ball down the field . . .
