workouts of spring football train

Defensive ends coach Pug Ga-

from Amarillo Tascosa and Dub
cak, from Giddings, both had ex
ceptional practices.
Although they didn’t single out
any players, defensive coordina
tor Melvin Robertson and offen
sive coordinator Ben Hurt both
were lavish in praising their
units following practice.
“I thought the defense all the
way around—the line, the line
backers and the secondary—had
a darn good day,” Robertson
said.
Here’s the way the first units
lined up Wednesday:
Offense — Mike Keese, split
end; Mike Park, left tackle; Todd
Christopher, left guard; Skip
Kuehn, center; Buster Callaway,
