A&M Rugby Team
bows to Texas
Only managing to score once
in the whole game, the A&M II
team of the Texas A&M Rugby
Club fell to the Austin Rugy
Club 5-3, Saturday. “Big” Bob
Elmore kicked across the three
points for the A&M squad.
“The wind played a large fac
tor in our loss,” commented Rog
er Boos, coach. “We would have
scored another time, hut the wind
blew the ball back in our faces.
We kept the ball up with the
forwards most of the time and
the ball stayed mostly within
Austin’s 20-yard line. Only fran
tic efforts on Austin’s part kept
them from losing.”
The club tentatively plays St.
Edwards this weekend. It has
not been determined where the
game will be held if played.
