cern, an off-campus students
group, claimed Monday night that
administration pressure convinced
the United Campus Christian Fel
lowship to deny them space to
meet in the Coffee Loft this year.
The organization met in the
Coffee Loft last year, but now
plans to meet every Monday in
the University Lutheran Church’s
Student Center.
Richard Stadelman, chairman
of the UCCF board, said there
has not been an “absolute” de
cision on the matter. The board
will meet Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
to decide the question, he said.
“There has been no official
pressure from the administration
and no unofficial pressure as far
as I am aware,” he said. “The
board is aware, however, that the
administration has been hostile
to the CCOC and that may influ
ence the board.
“There has been some pressure
from the First Christian Church
of Bryan. They have passed a
resolution barring non-church-
sponsored groups from meeting
in the Coffee Loft,” he said.
“This is the issue that will be
voted on Sunday. The UCCF is
an organization of the Christian,
United Church of Christ and Pres
byterian churches in Bryan and
College Station, and the full
board will vote on this resolu
tion.”
Pastor Hugh Beck, minister,
said that his church has a policy
of allowing “any and all groups”
to meet in the student center.

Herbich’s paper is entitled

Waves Broken by Longshore Bar”
and “Scour Around a Circular
Cylinder Due to Wave Motion.”
The first paper was co-authored
by C. E. McNair and the latter
by Lt. Comdr. D. R. Wells.

Goode told the lawyer his name
was very appropriate because he
was on the brink of being found
in contempt.” He warned Brink
to discontinue his “intended de
rogatory remarks.”
The jury deliberated about 25
minutes before finding Baker
guilty, but added they felt the
yellow stripe should be extended
through the intersection so the
question “will not occur again.”
Baker posted an appeal bond
of $50 Monday morning and has
filed an appeal in the county
court. He said he did not know
when his trial will come up.
