Colleges and universities fi
throughout the state have been
invited to participate in Sept. 1 1 -
15 hearings of the Texas Hon: ,
of Representatives’ Interim Study
Committee on Oceanography at
College Station.
Rep. Ray Lemmon of Houston,
committee chairman, said the ses
sion is designed to give approM'

learning an opportunity to ex
plain the scope of their ocean
ographic and marine-related pro
grams.
Invitations were extended on
the basis of known programs at
various colleges and universities,
primarily public institutions, the
Houston lawmaker explained. He
noted, however, that all institu
tions — public or private are
welcome to attend. All sessions
will be open to the public, he
added.
Representative Lemmon said
