F. W. Hensel of the Continu ing Education Office said the All-University Calendar meeting will start at 5 p.m. Representatives of student or ganizations and departments should be prepared to turn in desired dates for 1970-71 activi ties. “A representative is requested to be present if events fall on a Friday or Saturday, since most conflicts come on weekends,” not ed Hensel, continuing education coordinator. He said that because of space requirements, regularly sched uled meetings of departmental clubs and societies are not listed. Special meetings, such as yearly initiations or banquets, should be submitted. Hensel pointed out that all requests, including those by stu dent governing bodies, college, graduate, apartment and school councils, must be submitted in writing. The 1970 fall semester runs from Aug. 31 to Dec. 22, with commencement on Dec. 12 and Nov. 26-29 scheduled by the Reg istrar for the Thanksgiving holi days. Spring semester classes begin Jan. 18 and conclude May 7, with commencement and Final Review May 8 and semester exams May 10-15. Spring recess is April 8- 13, inclusive. The Tom Leland Scholarship was presented to Larry Klein of Kerrville. The $500 award is in memoral of the former A&M Accounting Department head. Senior Larry Peebles of Tem ple, who plans to attend gradu ate school at North Texas State, received the $400 Arthur Ander son Scholarship. Sophomores receiving $100 Arthur Anderson awards included Joseph Aston of Farmersville, David Berend of WindthorSt and Timothy Dunn of Baytown. Mrs. Dorothy Mitchell of Bry an received the $400 Peat, Mar wick, Mitchell and Co. Scholar ship. The $300 Peat, Marwich, Mitchell and Co. award went to Michael Marshall of Houston. The $300 Ernst and Ernst Scholarships were awarded to James Bizzak of Crane and Wil liam Leftwich of Dallas.
