DALLAS (A»)—The Dallas Morn
ing News schoolboy football poll
released Tuesday shows Dallas
Kimball, Galveston Ball and Kil
leen falling out of the top 10 in
Class AAAA.
Kimball, third-ranked until it
was whipped 28-14 by Dallas Wil
son, was replaced by Amarillo
Palo Duro. Galveston Ball was
sixth-ranked but suffered a 14-10
upset by Brazosport. Killeen was
seventh-ranked before it was am
bushed 9-7 by Cleburne.
The cream of Class AAAA
reads like this: Abilene Cooper,
Houston Kashmere, Palo Duro,
Wilson, Austin Reagan, Richard
son, San Antonio Lee, Wichita
Falls, Arlington and Cleburne.
Alvin dropped from third to
10th because of a solid 24-7
thumping by LaPorte in Class
AAA.
Cypress-Fairbanks is the only
newcomer in the AAA ranks,
ranking ninth. Houston Elmore
retains its top ranking.
There were no changes in Class
AA and A with Lufkin Dunbar
atop Class AA and White Oak
still ranked the top power in A.
