A record-setting five-man group will accompany Aggie track coaches Charlie Thomas and Ted Nelson to Lexington, Ky., this weekend for the National Feder ation meet. The sprint relay unit composed of Scott Hendricks, Jack Abbott, Curtis Mills, and Rockie Woods reeled off the best time ever for a Southwest Conference school last week in the Oxcart Relays Saturday night in Karnes City with a blistering 39.9. The other member of the congregation was weightman Ronnie Lightfoot, who garnered a third place in the discus. Mills also won the 440-yard dash in 46.4, placed second in the 220yard dash with a 21.2, and finished second in the high jump. Woods won the 100-yard dash in 9.5 and Abbott won the high hurdles in 14.1. The next action for the group following the Federation meet will be the following weekend, June 21, in Knoxville, Ky., for the NCAA meet.
