Texas Ave. YMCA Officers To Attend ‘Human Development 9 Lab YMCA student cabinet officers will head a delegation to a labora tory workshop in human develop ment Friday, announced Logan Weston. Weston, A&M religious life coordinator and YMCA general secretary, said the program is de signed to “give insight into pro blems in communication, the use of power, decision making, partici pation and conflict resoultion.” He added the meeting will help determine “why we get the dif ferent types of reactions we do from others.” Cabinet particpants include David Howard, Gary Onderson, Chip Hill, Ed Donnell and Bill Mahomes. A&M is one of 16 colleges and universities expected to take part in the April 11-13 workshop at the Baylor Recreation Camp near Waco. Workshop trainer will be Dr. D. Maitland Huffman, assistant pro fessor of management at the Uni versity of Texas, at Austin. Weston said Huffman is de scribed as a “young, dynamic professor who has had extensive Baptist Church Here To Hold Revival Services This Weekend The Rev. James V. Hamblen of Houston will conduct revival services at the First Baptist Church of College Station this weekend. He will be joined by Edwin M. Markham of Brownwood who will direct music during the three-day special emphasis service. Services will be at 7 p. m. Fri day and Saturday and at 10:45 a. m. and 7:20 p. m. Sunday. The services are part of a gi gantic Western Hemisphere si multaneous revival emphasis in volving North, Central and South America Baptist churches. The Crusade of the Americas, is it has become known, originated with an idea by a Brazilian pastor in 1965. It was later adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in cooperation with sereval other Baptist bodies. Similiar revivals will continue to be conducted at Baptist churches in the Western Hemis phere through May. Hamblen has been pastor of the Oldham Memorial Baptist Church, Houston, since 1964. A native of Harlingen, he is a grad uate of the University of Texas at Austin and Southwestern Bap tist Theological Seminary. Sessions start at 7 p. m. Fri day ending at 11:30 a. m. Sunday. The regional YMCA meeting will include students from Ark ansas, Oklahoma and Louisiana as well as Texas.
