Parker, retired Texas professors, have been awarded professor emeritus status by the Texas A&M University System Board of Directors. Dr. Kennedy, who was distin guished professor of petroleum engineering prior to his Aug. 31 retirement, joined Texas A&M in September, 1949. While he has formally retired, Engineering Dean Fred Benson told the board Dr. Kennedy will continue to participate in vari ous activities of the Petroleum Engineering Department.
