Anderson Urges
Public Support
Th* co-operation of the public 11
in support of the ordinance
against dogs running at large in
the dty waa urged today by Col- j
lege Station Mayor D- A. “And3^!
Anderson.
.4 W.+ * -
An increasing number of com
plaints are being received by the
city on this violation, th* mayor
reported. |
Since the beginning of the
year over ten people have been
bitten by such animals.
New citisens in our community
are perhaps unaware that there
is an ordinance which prohibits
dogs running at large, the may
or said.
With th* hot suauner months
rabies is a problem. Also, snore
and more people in the commun
ity are walking, he continued.
Others report damage to per
sonal property by dogs running
at larg«.
Of th* total dog population in
the dty, it is ironic that only 175
, dog tags have been sold this
year, Mayor Anderson reports.
A total of 158 dogs have been
picked up through June. The
mayor concluded that enforce
ment of the ordinance will con
tinue and urged the co-operation
of all dtisena. If there are any
questions on the ordinance he
asked that the dtisena get in
touch with the police department
