Clocked at 112.43 miles per hour on one lap around the twist ing 5.2-mile layout, Hobbs showed again that the GT40 team from England has the speed to win if the cars can stand up for the distance. Hobbs was time at 2:46.5 in one of his laps, beating the old record of 2:48.6. AstroFacts COCOA, Fla. — Will Hal King become another John Roseboro?
