The improvements of the sta dium also include lighting, park ing and traffic artieries. A second elevator will aid author ized persons to and from the press box on the West side. The completion of phase one will accommodate some 52,400 fans. Phase two, a future plan, will include the lowering of the pres ent playing area, taking out the cinder track, adding seats closer to the field on both sides and closing in both ends to form a bowl. The final, bowl-type sta dium will seat some 65,000. I The expansion project to en- fcrge and improve historic Kyle jB'ield, the on-campus Aggie foot- jball plant, will ultimately provide Wexas A&M with one of the ■inest gridiron settings in the Bation. The Arkansas Razorbacks were picked in the balloting to finish in second place.
