Home Town Stamp Now Gold
Piggly Wiggly today began giv
ing Gold Bond stamps on all pur
chases, announced store manager
Roy Foster.
Foster also said a Gold Bond
stamp gift center has been estab
lished adjacent to the store.
The Texas Avenue and Rose
mary store is discontinuing dis
tribution of S&S stamps in favor
of the more widely circulated
Gold Bond stamps, Foster ex
plained.
Gold Bond operates throughout
the United States, Canada, Eng
land and several other countries,
the Piggly Wiggly manager ex
plained.
“We will now be giving our
customers the best stamp with
the best value, and also a stamp
which can be redeemed anywhere
in the country,” Foster noted.
He said customers who have
been saving S&S stamps may
bring them to the gift center and
redeem them or exchange them
for Gold Bond stamps. The
stamps also can be exchanged at
Pigglv Wiggly.
Foster said several other local
merchants have inquired about
the Gold Bond stamp program.
“By all indications,” he re
marked, “we will have the biggest
and most valuable stamp plan in
the Bryan-College Station area in
a very short time.”
Foster said coupons worth hun
dreds of Gold Bond stamps will
soon be appearing in local news
papers and also will be mailed
directly to local residents.
