The Dallas Aggie Former Stu dents have taken the initiative and are sponsoring an Aggie par ty to equal the victory over the Ponies in the Cotton Bowl. John Hopkins and Bob Lynd of the Dallas club recently met with student leaders on the cam pus to correlate final prepara tions. The party scheduled from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. will be held in the banquet and ballroom facilities of the Adolphus Hotel. Admis sion is $2 per person and two bands will provide continuous music with no intermission time. “We’re making every effort to see that this is the ideal party with proper Aggie atmosphere,” Lynd said. “We are presently making preparations for 1500, but we can easily up that fig ure.” Individual units (military out fits and civilian dorms) can re serve any number of tables and have their group parties within the large parties. Parking will be no problem. Moyer, Meteorology Department head. Participants from Florida State, UCLA, Wisconsin, St. Louis, Pennsylvania, A&M and New York universities will pre dict daily maximum temperatures and measurable precipitation for Oklahoma City Oct. 10 to Dec. 9. Each school’s top seven fore casters—selected for overall ac curacy—will compete for the championship trophy. It will be awarded to the winning depart ment rather than on an individual basis. A&M participants, including senior meteorology majors and Air Force basic students, are monitored by Keith Henry, as sistant professor of meteorology.
