shirt at no extra charge.
Veterinary students’ “V” neck
jackets also will be laundered as
a shirt, he added. Clinic white
trousers have been accepted in
the past, but an extra charge ^

Items in excess of 30 pieces
will be charged at standard laun
dry rates, noted J. H. Kincaid
Sr., laundry manager. Additional
bundles will cost $1.20.
“Claims will be considered in
the main office Monday through
Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.,”
Kincaid said. Tickets must be
presented in making claims. He
also urged students to retain
stubs for claiming finished laun
dry.
Various colored slips are used
at laundry turn - in stations in
Dorm 12, Leggett Hall and next
to the hospital. Day students use
a separate color ticket.
Service for faculty-staff mem
bers is available on acquisition
of a laundry mark. Information
and marks may be obtained at
the main office on Hogg and As-
bury streets.

velopment Conference began this
morning with a keynote address
by Katherine Peden, former pres
ident of the U.S. Business and
Professional Women’s Federa
tion.
About 250 industrial develop
ment personnel from banks, utili
ty firms, railroads, chambers of
commerce and manufacturing
firms were on hand for opening
ceremonies at the Ramada Inn.

ed Joe G. Moore Jr., executive
director of the Texas Water De
velopment Board, and Joe W. Ty
son Jr., director of the technical
program for the Coordinating
Board, Texas College and Uni
versity System.
Ben H. Sloane, vice president
of the Aluminum Company of
America, spoke on “Industry Is
People” at today’s luncheon.
Tomorrow’s speakers include
Dr. James A. Byrd, vice presi
dent of Texas National Bank of
Commerce; James W. McGrew,
research director for the Texas
Research League; Ray H. Hor
ton, chairman of the Texas In
dustrial Commission, and John
Ben Shepperd, general counsel
for Odessa Natural Gas Co.
New officers and directors will
be introduced during tomorrow’s
closing activities.
