    FRANK J. BORISKIE
Announces His
Candidacy For
County Clerk
Frank J. Boriskie, 55, of 1417
E. 28th St. has announced his
candidacy for the office of Brazos
County Clerk, subject to the May
7 Democratic Primary.
Boriskie, a life - time resident
of Brazos County, has been man
ager of the Humpty Dumpty
Grocery Store for 25 years.
“I feel sure that all Brazos
County citizens are proud of the
way Mr. Syptak has conducted
the office of county clerk and I
wish to ask the voters to give
me an opportunity to continue
this fine service in the same
way,” the candidate said in mak
ing his annuoncement. “Being in
retail business for many years, I
have learned the importance of
keeping accurate books and rec
ords.”
Boriskie and his wife Helen,
have three daughters, Diane, a
senior at Sam Houston College;
Patricia, a freshman at Texas
A&M University; and Linda, a
senior at Stephen F. Austin High
School, who is planning to enter
Texas Woman’s University in
September.
The Bryan native is active in
civic and charitable projects in
the community.
In speaking of Brazos County,
Boriskie continued,” I am glad
to be living in an area that is
progressing so rapidly. So many
counties are decreasing in popula
tion, we have good people, excel
lent schools and beautiful
churches, which are indeed to our
credit. The office of county clerk,
the ‘keeper of the records,’ will
corttinue to grow also.
“I am asking you, the voters of
Brazos County, to elect me to this
office and give me an opportunity
to serve you in a very efficient,
iependable and reliable manner.
(Pd. Pol. Adv. by F. J. Boriskie)

Have astronauts

Sure, the boys who go_
off the “pads" get the big, bold headlines. But if you
want to fly, the big opportunities are still with the
aircraft that take off and land on several thousand
feet of runway.
Who needs pilots? TAC does. And MAC. And SAC.
And ADC.
There's a real future in Air Force flying. In years to
come aircraft may fly higher, faster, and further than
We dare dream of. But they'll be flying, with men
who've had Air Force flight training at the controls.
Of course the Air Force also has plenty of jobs for
those who won't be flying. As one of the world's
largest and most advanced research and develop

scientists and engineers.
Young college graduates in these fields will find
that they'll have the opportunity to do work that is
both interesting and important. The fact is, nowhere
