Davis, professor of wildlife science, was honored in absentia as conservation educa tor for the year. He is doing field research in Guatemala. Accept ing in Dr. Davis’ behalf was Dr. R. E. Patterson, dean of A&M’s College of Agriculture. Dr. R. M. Robinson, instructor in veterinary pathology, received the wildlife conservationist award. Dr. Robinson is studying diseases and parasites in deer. James Natho, a freshman ani mal science major from Cuero, was named youth conservation ist. Governor John Connally pre sented the awards at Austin’s Driskill Hotel.
