Hospitality Group Needs More Hosts For Foreign Guest The Texas A&M Hospitality Committee is seeking more hosts for international guests in Bryan and College Station. Mrs. Tom Prater, committee chairman, said more personal contact is needed between people of the community and interna tional students and guests. “We sponsor teas and recep tions,” Mrs. Prater added, “but we need more people who are willing to visit with our interna tional friends, help them with their problems and make them feel welcome. “There are many international students who have been at A&M for a year or two, and have never been in a home,” she said. “Too many of the international student wives are lonely. They get home sick because they do not partici pate in community activities.” A wives’ tea, sponsored by the committee, is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Y M C A South Solarium. Interest tables will be set up for beginning con versational English, swimming, foods, baby care, laundry and other subjects, Mrs. Hal Taylor, coordinator of the wives program announced.
