THE BATTALION College Station, Texas Page 8 Thursday, April 29, 1965 Aggie Frosh Extend Streak, Beat Wharton The Aggie Fish baseball team has run its string of wins to 10 by beating Wharton County Junior College 3-0 here Wednesday. The unbeaten Fish banged out seven hits on the way to their latest victory. Mike Wood was the winning pitcher and allowed Wharton only six hits. Wood was the man of the day striking out three and at one time retired fifteen of the Wharton batters in order. He gave up only three bases on balls. The Aggies scored two runs in their half of the second inning. Rick Schwartz, who along with Wood showed up very well in their last game aganst the Rice Owlets, proved to be a big stick by knock ing out a two-base hit. Wood's base on balls and the long sin gle by outfielder Chuck Cornett gave the Ags their scoring in the second. Later in the game Lou Camilli, another gun in the Rice game, scored the last of the Fish runs for the day. After putting a drive into the outfield Camilli| scored with the help of a three base error. The losing pitcher for Wharton was Aaron Henderson. He went all the way in the losing effort. The Aggie Frosh appeared to be strong in two places. These are on the mound and at the plate. Good mound efforts have been turned in by Wood and Ken Perrin. The bats of Camilli, Gary Moon, Schfartz and Cornett have given the offensive punch. Baylor will be the next team to try its luck with the Aggie Fish. This will take place when the Cubs invade Travis Park this Sat urday at 2:00 p.m. r ———————————— Intramurals Quarter-finals in Class B Soft- ball were completed Tuesday.
