The Exchange Store would feel dilatory in its duty and obligation to Texas Aggies if it
did nothing but exchange it’s merchandise for their money. If you are an Aggie, here are some
FREE services to you regardless of whether you are a customer or not.
1. FREE PARjKING LOT: Just east of our building is a 50 car free parking lot. You have 30
minutes to park and shop at leisure. CAUTION: Don’t exceed the 30 minutes as Campus Secu
rity might charge you $2.00.
2. FREE CHECK CASHING: Upon proper identification, our cashiers office will cash your per
sonal check in an amount up to $50.00. CAUTION: Be sure your check is properly drawn and that
your bank account contains the amount. If your check is returned, the University will attach a
$2.00 handling charge.
3. FREE GIFT WRAPPING: Aggies are notoriously all thumbs when a delicate gift has to be
wrapped. We have artists in this operation. When you have gifts to be wrapped - regardless of
whether you bought them from us or not-bring them in for the most professional job in town.
“IT’S ON THE HOUSE!”
4. REPAIR SERVICE: Fountain pens, study lamps, drawing sets, slide rules, alarm clocks -
in fact anything mechanical - have a habit of getting out of “kelter”. If this happens to an item of
yours - which is a brand we carry - bring it in. We will return it to the manufacturer for repair
or adjustment. Your only cost will be our billing plus postage.
5. NOTARY SERVICE: We have two certified notary’s in our office. Anytime your signature
has to be notarized bring the papers in and Miss Downs or Miss Harris will execute them for you
for free.
6. SPECIAL ORDERS: With our present overcrowded physical plant, it is impossible for us to
carry everything you might need or want. Be it a book or any other item regularily stocked by
any manufacturer or publisher we represent, we will gladly process a special order for you for
non-stock items. There is no charge for this service, other than our regular mark - up, which
usually doesn’t cover our office overhead on such orders.
7. STORE PERSONNEL: We feel both you and The Exchange Store will profit from knowing
the people who greet you when you enter our doors. Currently there’s Hattie Stephens, Melba
Hrncir, Naomi Jahns, Urdith Northcutt, Ruth Carroll, Dorothy Ish, Caroline Wilson, Rosemary
Flowers, Callie Green, Minailee Marquart, Thelma Warner, Marie Lewis, Gladys Brinkman,
Oneta Schaudies, Cherry Woodyard and student wives, Sharon Caldwell, Betty Richardson, Shar-
ron Jones, Vivian Murph, Delores Robertson and Glenda Sparks. They all have one common
purpose, SERVICE TO YOU!
