THE BATTALION Page 2 College Station, Texas Thursday, November 21, 1963 BATTALION EDITORIALS TU Gains Points; But Muffs Job Our hearts are filled with sorrow. Our friends from TU have gained points. They wrote “BEVO” on Kyle Field with some type of grass killer. We think probably pure tea juice. Of course we must point out that they accomplished this fete during the past weekend—while Aggies were warm ing things up in Houston. However, we are not half so disturbed by the fact that the TU kids invaded our territory as we are by something we discovered Wednesday afternoon. Those kids from TU muffed the job. Aggies, you have to strain your eyes to read those letters. Besides that the lines making the letters are not straight. They seem to be consistent failures. Let‘s Cut Injury Rate An Aggie is going to get hurt this weekend. In fact several Aggies will probably be injured before next Monday night. Some of these injuries are going to be needless and will be caused by nothing by carelessness. “Beatin’ th’ livin’ hell out’a TU” will be much more enjoyable if we are all in good physical condition. Therefore Aggies, and especially the fish who will be working on their first Aggie Bonfire, be careful. There are going to be men in the cutting area and in the stacking area who will be watching the entire construction of the Bonfire so that the safety of every Aggie will be assured. When one of these people or any upperclassman offers some advice to prevent fish Jones from hurting himself, we suggest that fish Jones take heed. Those people have seen others hurt while working on past Bonfires. Read " ' ” Classifieds H. I. S.
