Rabbi Kahn, an ardent Jewish scholar and theologian, has pub lished “An Affirmative Answer to Communism” and numerous articles in national magazines. He has a weekly column in the Houston Chronicle. Bill Trick of the A&M Agricul tural Education Department said the high school youths representing 400 teams will compete in live stock, dairy poultry, meats and dairy products events. The teams were recently area contest winners. Awards will be presented to the 10 top teams and to the 10 high- point individuals. A sweepstake plaque will go to the team with best all-around score. Dean Frank Hubert of the School of Arts and Sciences asked in coming YMCA cabinet officers for 1963-64 to use five areas of philo sophy in carrying out their duties. He spoke to about 60 students Wednesday night at the annual YMCA steak fry for installation of officers in Hensel Park. Hubert listed the five phases of philosophy as ethics, logic, sci ence of politics, elements of aes thetic value and metaphysics. Out-going president Don Willis turned his duties over to Lannie Jackson. THE FINAL presentation of the year will be made at the A&M Federation of Mother’s Club meet ing May 11. This year’s concert theme is “It’s Music for You,” featuring musical selections of spiritual, classical, popular, patriotic and comical na ture, according to Boone, who is completing his third year as direc tor. Following the traditional open ing with “The Spirit,” the Cadets will present “My Lady Walks in Loveliness” and “Calm As the Night,” followed by “It’s Me, O Lord.” Lewis King of Bryan is the featured soloist with the spiritual. The first of two quartets will then present a selection from Rig- golettp Berdi, done completely in lighter touch fashion. DIRECTOR BOONE will do two numbers. One will be “Gonna Build a Mountain.” The Cadets will present a selec tion fi*om the “Prodigal Son,” a sermon-in-swing presentation.
