Music To Dance To
Two-year-old Terri Tillman, like most little girls, can’t
help dancing when the band starts to play. Terri, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Brad Tillman, finds the brick streets
of Savannah’s historic Factors Walk just the place to try
out a few steps to the music of the Savannah High School
band during an art festival. (AP Wirephoto)

New Peace Corps
Quiz To Be Given
V.
A new, and much shorter, Peace
Corps placement test will be ad
ministered Saturday at 8 a.m. in
the Bryan Post Office, according
to Daniel Russell of the Depart
ment of Agricultural Economics
and Rural Sociology, A&M coordi
nator for the Corps.
The test consists of half-hour
sections on general aptitude and
modem language aptitude. All
applicants who have any knowledge
of French or Spanish must remain
to take the appropriate language
achievement test of one hour dura
tion.
THE TEST IS non-competitive.
Applicants who took the longer
test administered earlier do not
need to take the new one.
Increasing emphasis on aptitude
for a foreign language for all
volunteers serving where English
is not the main tongue has greatly
increased the need for the language
aptitude and achievement tests,
said Dr. Edward R. Henry, di
rector of the Peace Corp’s selec
tion division.
THE NEW TEST should be
taken by all new Peace Corps ap
plicants for one of the 4,000 open
ings in 44 countries. Training be
gins in June, July and August.
Russell said that pre-registra
tion for the two-hour test was not
required. Information about the
exam or the Peace Corps is a-
vailable from the College Place
ment Office in the YMCA Build
ing or Room 317 in the Agricul
ture Building. A strong demand
continues for volunteers, Russell
said.
