A&M To Host Spring Meet
For District 19AA Friday
A&M will host high school stu
dents from A&M Consolidated,
Cameron, Rockdale, Navasota and
Hearne for the District 19AA In
terscholastic Spring Meet Friday
and Saturday.
19AA District students may en
ter the meet in their respective age
divisions. Events to be held are
track, golf, volleyball, tennis and
playground ball. Finalists will go
to the Regional Meet at Blinn Jun
ior College in Brenham on April
19 and 20.
The schedule of events for Fri
day is:
9 a.m.—finals in pole vault, dis
cus and high jump
9:30 a.m.—120 yard low hurdles
(junior)
9:45 a.m.—120 yard low hurdles
(senior)
10 a.m.—100 yard dash (junior-
senior)
10:20 a.m.—330 yard dash (jun
ior); 440 yard dash (senior)
10:50 a.m.—180 yard low hurdles
(senior)
11:10 a.m.—220 yard dash (jun
ior-senior)
1:30 p.m.—finals in all events
not completed in morning meet.
2 p.m.—440 yard relay (junior
and senior)
2:15 p.m.—660 yard dash (jun
ior); 880 yard dash (senior)
2:30 p.m.—120 yard low hurdles
(junior); 120 yard high hurdles

3 p.m.—440 yard dash (senior)

follows:

golf course; volleyball semi-finals
in G. Rollie White Coliseum; ten
nis semi-finals on courts south of
football stadium.
11 a.m.—volleyball finals in G.
Rollie White Coliseum.
1 p.m.—playground ball on col
lege baseball fields.
Gary Bradds, junior Ohio State
center’, led the Big Ten Basket
ball race in scoring last season
with 433 points in 14 games for
a 30.9 average.
