ing Cadets Plan
To Enter Contest
Eight members of the Flying
Kadets will take off before dawn
March 24 from Easterwood Field
and fly to Carbondale, 111., to repre
sent A&M at the annual National
Flying Meet.
The meet, sponsored by the
National Flying Association, will
be the 15th in a series. College
and university flying clubs from
all over the United States will
participate.

to arrive about noon. That evening
a safety lecture will be held to
familiarize all entrants with the

bers range from commercial pilots
to those who are just learning to

will judge these events.
TROPHIES ARE presented to
the five top teams, and individual,
permanent and rotating trophies
are awarded to the five top pilots
of the five top events.
Awards will go to the outstand
ing man and woman pilot and to
the club flying the greatest number
of passenger air miles enroute to
the meet. A safety award will be
given to the team showing the
greatest amount of care in han
dling its aircraft.

HOLLYWOOD — A new insti
tution of higher madness has spr
ung rip on the campus of Hamlin
University in St. Paul, Minn.
Called “Fink University,” and
devoted to the principles expressed
by Steve Allen on the 90-minute
nightly comedy program “The
Steve Allen Show,” the new
school boasts, an enrollment of 48
students and new applications are
being received daily.
“Our school is already distin
guishing itself in many areas,”
says Ron Speed, editor of the “Fink
Scrapbook” and the university
newspaper, “The Rat Fink Herald.”
“Just recently we won the Fern
Bowl Game with Kreel U, and we
now strongly feel that our rous

Fink’ will lead ps to victory over
any adversary. And our Fink
Scrapbook, compiled by the Fink

Reunion Planned
For Class Of ’28
The class of 1928 will celebrate
its 35th anniversary here the
weekend of March 29.
Members will register on Fri
day, and on Saturday the exes will
have a luncheon with faculty
guests. There will be an afternoon
tea, and in the evening a dance
will be held at a local restaurant.
After Sunday breakfast there
will be a business meeting and
then the group will adjourn.

michael, professor of education at
Sam Houston State Teachers Col
lege.

For Yet Library
The faculty wives of the School
of Veterinary Medicine will spon
sor an open house in the school’s
14-year-old library during National
Library Week in April, Mrs. Nan
Cardwell, librarian, has announced.
No definite date has been set for
the open house, which will be held
for the third straight year.
