same traits in their dates; but
when it comes to a wife image,
they are in complete agreement.
They rate the ten traits listed
in the same order. Here are
their selections and the over-all
percentages of each:
Good moral character (94 per
cent), faithful and understand
ing (84 per cent each), intelli
gent (76 per cent), compatible
(68 per cent), well-mannered
(43 per cent), beauty (32 per
cent, good sport (12 per cent),
good dancer (4 per cent), and
popular (1 per cent).
It appears, from the results of
this survey, that girls are look
ing for the same traits in their
dates as they are in a husband.
This could conceivably indicate
that their reason for dating is
for the selection of a mate.
Not so with the males. While
the men have very definite ideas
about what it takes to make a
desirable wife, they do not se
lect their dates with this in mind.
