Texas Head Coach and Athletic
Director Dan-ell Royal said, “They
just moved in masses. There was
no way in the world you could have
stopped them.”
Just before the tipoff, Royal had
told the capacity crowd in Gregory
Gym that he and Aggie Head
Coach Hank Foldberg were going
to sit together—and if they could
get along, the fans ought to be
able to peacefully coexist.

INTRAMURALS
Intramural wrestling, now in
full swing, will continue through
the week, to be the first event on
the intramural calendar this
semester. More than 68 students
competed Wednesday.
Clear weather and bright sun
shine Wednesday helped to launch
softball practice. Softball will
begin in early April.
Winning freshman in the five
diffei-ent weight classes: 137 divi
sion, Riggs, Sqd. 8; Bohn, D-l;
Black, C-3; and Kickliter, Sqd. 3.
Only match in the 147 class was
Tuseth of Sqd. 4 over See of E-3.
The biggest division, the 167, had
12 different matches. The winners
were Miller, Sqd. 11; Diaz, C-3;
Mitchell, F-l; Odom, Sqd. 1; and
Anderson, C-l.
Also Williams, C-2; Singleton,
C-3; Duncan, F-l; Kennedy, A-2;
Graves, G-l; Gomez, D-2; and
Henry, E-2.
Freshman winners in the 177
division: Dewitt, Sqd. 14; Fowler,
G-2; Stanley, Sqd. 10; and Rut
ledge, Sqd. 7. The single winner
in the 191 division was Crumbliss
of Sqd. 2.

Quarterback Joe Weiss, the guid
ing hand in Pflugerville’s national
record 55-game winning streak,
announced Wednesday he will en
roll at Texas A&M.
Weiss, 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds,
scored 234 of his team’s 452 points
last year and passed for 11 touch
downs.
He signed a pre-enrollment ap
plication with the Aggies, but
cannot sign a letter of intent until
he finishes his high school eligi
bility. He is a center of, the bas
ketball team and also runs track.

College Unions Bowling Tournament, Jimmie Guy rolled
