Sam Houston took first in the meet and McNeese State College of Lake Charles, La., was third. All the Aggie team points came in three events—tie-down calf roping, ribbon roping and steer wrestling. Wingate took top hon ors in the saddle bronc riding by winning both go-rounds and the average, but his points could not Intramurals Sqd. 8 will meet D-3 for Class B tennis championship today. Freshman tennis for this semester will end with this game. Class A tennis, which began yesterday, will get into full play after the Class B finals are played today. Results in Class A softball were Sqd. 8 over G-3, 8-1; B-l defeated Sqd. 13, 11-9; F-3 downed G-l, 3-1; Sqd. 10 won over Sqd. 2, 9-3; Maroon Band over Sqd. 12, 9-1; E-l lost to A-l, 0-12; White Band forfeited to Sqd. 5, and Sqd. 11 defeated Sqd. 15, 5-4. Rain failed to halt yesterday’s semi-final games between Sqd. 8 and F-l, and D-3 and Sqd. 9. At 5:45 both D-3 and Sqd. 9 each had won one game. Playing in spite of the rain, D-3 finally se cured the two-game lead to win the match. Winning players for D-3 were Bill- Taylor, Micky Durbin, Tom my Wooldridge, Pete Marabella, Bruce Darling and Chuck McBre- arty. Winners for Sqd. 8 were Randy Farmer, Doug Otten, Pat Gibson, Jim Giffin, Paul Crank, and Gary Mabie. In the only Class A tennis game played yesterday, Sqd. 4 downed Sqd. 14, 2-1. The A&M team points resulted as follows: In the tie-down calf roping Turner took fourth in the second go-round and third in av erage. In ribbon roping, Keith Kidwell was second in the first go-round and third in average; Brazos Va- risco was second in the second go- round and Jay Jones was fourth in the second go-round. In the steer wrestling, which Turned won, Kidwell was second in average after taking fourth in the first and second go-rounds. The Aggie Rodeo Team has a full schedule this weekend. They will compete at the Wharton Jun ior College Rodeo and also at Ste phen F. Austin in Nacogdoches.
