Through Saturday —< ★★★
“Come September” Rock Hudson
plays the rich man denied his
pleasure. Gina Lolabrigida, as the
source of his pleasure, plays the
mistress-turned-marriage-minded.
Sunday through Tuesday — ★
’’Armored Command” The only
thing that can be said to be well
constructed in this actionless “ti
ger flick” is Tina Louise who, it
seems, never fully exhales.
Queen
Through Saturday —- -^“When
the Clock Strikes” and “The Cat
Burglar” Cloak versus dagger.
Boredom wins.
Sunday through Tuesday — ★
“Four Fast Guns” TV doesn’t
have all the stale western plots.
Campus
Through Saturday—★★-^“Clau-
delle Inglish” Sophisticated Diane
McBain combs her bouffant hair
do just so, flits her artificial eye
lashes prettily and then, for some
reason, fails to convince us she is
the earthy female-animal of Cald
well’s novel.
Sunday and Monday—★★^“The
Champion” and “The D.I.” In
“Champion”—a pre-“police action”
film—Kirk Douglas drew his first
and last rave notices. In “D.I.”
Jack Webb as Sgt. Moore is stuck
with a recruit who, understand
ably, dislikes the. Marine Corps.

“Goodbye Again” with Ingrid

thony Perkins and “The Gazebo”
with Glenn Ford and Debbie Rey

Saturday — ★ ★ “Jailbreakers”
and “13 Fighting Men” and
“Shane’ Nothing there worth
while but “Shane,”
Sunday through Tuesday—★★
“Wild in the Country” and “The
Lost World” In the former, Elvis
Presley portrays his own plastic
hipped, sullen-faced, untalented
self.
Guion Hall
Saturday evening —
“Giant” and Forbidden Desert”
Edna Ferber’s novel can be blamed
for the unrecognizable Texas pre
sented in “Giant,” whose ambi
tious makers, too, allowed the
story to drag, if not snag, in
places. “Forbidden Desert” is
among the better documentaries
now in circulation.
Saturday and Sunday—★★★
“The Wackiest Ship in the Army”
Jack Lemmon, funny in a spastic,
unpredictable way, captains a tub
sent to sea by the never-wrong
Army.

Editor,
The Battalion:
In answer to the “Pass In
Review” article in your Thurs
day edition of The Battalion re
garding student Jerry Cooper
and his plight with being as
signed to the bull ring when he
is living in a civilian dormitory
—we have in our office a locater
card filled out at registration in
Mr. Cooper’s own glorious hand
writing statirtg that he is in
Company A-2, living in Dorm 14,
Room 128, and is a drills and
ceremonies student.
Furthermore, we have no drop
papers on this student but on
the other hand we have no appli
cation for drills and ceremonies
status.
Because of the afore-men
tioned facts, we naturally as
sumed (heaven knows why) that
Mr. Cooper was a member of
the Corps of Cadets and so we
expected him to meet the bull
ring to \yalk off his carry-over
hours from last year. By not
meeting the bull ring he de
served, and was awarded, 10 de
merits (the normal penalty).
