Kyle Field last night and the re
sults were disastrous for the Ag
gie Fish, as the TCU Wogs com
bined with the nippy weather to
numb the Fish, 27-12.
The Wogs followed the quick
silver heels of Halfback Jim Fau-
ver of Houston Milby to victory.
The 5-11, 185 speedster turned in
a brilliant performance, rushing
for 145 yards in nine carries and
scored two touchdowns. One
touchdown was a 72-yard sprint
in the fourth quarter that iced the
win for TCU.
TCU took the opening kickoff
and stormed 65 yai’ds in 13 plays
to score, Quarterback Howard
getting the tally on a sneak. The
Fish took the kickoff, but were
forced to punt on the first series
of downs. A bad pass from cen
ter caused Aggie Quarterback to
fumble and he was dropped for
an 11-yard loss by TCU’s Powers.
Six plays later Fauver went in
side left end for the Wogs’ second
TD. Carothers converted after
both touchdowns.
The Fish stormed back in the
second quarter, driving 85 yards
in 13 plays to score. Halfback
Tommy Meeks scored inside his
left end on a 20-yard burst, run
ning out of the arms of two would-
be Wog tacklers. The conversion
attempt failed.
TCU, not to be outdone, took
the kickoff 67 yards in 9 plays to
make the score 21-6. Fauver set
up the score with a 29-yard dash
around his left end; Howard
passed to Powers from the 5-yard
line for the score.
A fired-up bunch of Fish quickly
hit paydirt.in the opening moments
of the third quarter, riding behind
the smashes of Fullback Mike
Kohlman of Jal, N.M. Kohlman
picked up 14 and 18 yards in the
drive, carrying Wog tacklers for
extra yardage both times. Meeks
scored his second touchdown,
slanting inside left from the two.
Then came Fauver’s 72-yard
run-for-the-money in the fourth
quarter, and suddenly the game
was out of reach for the Fish.
The remainder of the game was
an exchange of downs between the
two teams with TCU trying to run
the clock out and the Fish filling
the air with passes in a last-ditch
effort to score.
Standouts for the Fish were
Meeks, Kohlman, and End Jeff
Farmer of Waco Reicher. Meeks
scored two touchdowns, caught
two passes, and intercepted a TCU
aerial to kill a drive. Kohlman
led the Aggies in rushing with
89 yards on 18 carries. Farmer
made one of the outstanding de
fensive plays of the game when
he threw TCU’s Howard for a
14-yard loss on his own 33 to stop
a drive.
ARCHIE SAYS:
My cousin Archie —he thought the electric razor his gal gave
him last Christmas was o.k. Then he tried Old Spice Pro-Electric,
the before shave lotion. Now the guy won't stop talking, he
thinks electric shaving is so great.
ARCHIE SAYS Pro-Electric improves electric shaving even more
than lather improves blade shaving. ARCHIE SAYS Pro-Electric
sets up your beard by drying perspiration and whisker oils so
you shave blade-close without irritation. ARCHIE SAYS Pro-
Electric gives you the closest, cleanest, fastest shave.
If Archie ever stops talking. I'll tell him / use Old Spice Pro-
Electric myself.

The plainsmen aren’t the only
team looking for their first vic
tory; the Aggies have yet to win
one either. Their record has only
one loss in two contests though.
The Cadets tied the University of
Houston, 7-7, and lost last week
to the Bayou Bengals from LSU,
Guard Jim Harper of Borger, who
is nursing a leg injury. He was
a member of the number two team.
Several changes have been made
this week on the second team.
Sam Byer moved back to the full
back spot, Keith Huggins replaced
Jerry Pizzitola at right guard,
and Bobby Evans was converted
to tackle from end.
The Aggies will have a limber
ing up workout in Lubbock follow
ing 1 a flight Horn here this after
noon. They will return to Aggie-
land after the game Saturday.

is missing from the Raiders’ squad
this fall and his shoes have been
very difficult to fill. On the other-
hand, Tech has some outstanding

Barring practice injuries late
this week, the Cadets should be
in good shape for Saturday’s en

turned to his spot at second team
left tackle after having missed
the first two games with a knee
injury.
