Astronomy In Southern Hemisphere To Be Viewed Dr. Hugh H. Johnson, a noted astronomer, will lecture tonight at 8 p.m. in Room 113 of the Bio logical Sciences Building. The young scientist is presently Working with the National Astron omical Observatory of the Uni versity of Arizona and will speak on “Astronomy in the Southern Hemisphere." Johnson will also be available for conferences with students in terested in astronomy, space travel and astrophysics. This morn ing at 10 a.m. he spoke on “Inter stellar Matter,” at 4 p.m. he spoke on “The Star Cluster and The Orion Nebula,’’ and tomorrow at 11 a.m. he will speak on “The Magellanic Clouds.’’ Johnson received his AB Degree, his BS Degree ad his PhD from the University of Chicago, and was a research assistant at Yerkes Ob servatory from 1950-53, when he was made research associate of the Observatory. He was assistant professor. State University of Iowa from 1954-59.
