90 Chapters
To Compete
In FFA Here
Approximately 600 Future Farm
ers of America students from 90
chapters will compete in the annual
Area 3 FFA Judging Contest here
April 9.
Dr. J. R. Jackson, associate
professor in the Department of
Agricultural Education and^ pro
gram chairman, said judging teams
will compete in six events. These
include livestock, dairy cattle,
poultry, meats, dairy products and
lamb judging.
Judging starts at 8 a.m. and
results will be announced at 2 p.m.
in Guion flail. A&M sponsors the
contests each year.
Jackson said the winners of
Area 3 will compete in the state
championship contest April 30.
Lester Buford of Houston is
supervisor of Area 3, which covers
21 counties in the Houston area.
