A group of Bryan and College

Monday until every name was
stuck on the envelopes to be used
in the annual Christmas Seal Sale,
according to Mrs. I. W. Rupel, Sale

“Sticking name labels on envel

in the preparation of the letters
to be mailed on Nov. 16 to Brazos
County residents when the 1959
sale opens,” Mi's. Rupel said.

SENATOR
(Continued from Page 1)
in A-Bomb production, nine months
to equal our H-Bomb and at the
present time, is far in advance of
our country in conquering space.
“The American people, as a
whole, must wake up to the fact
that the Soviet Union is far from
being complacent or satisfied with
their accomplishments,” added the
Senator. “We MUST mobilize our
best brains and our most highly
trained minds for the exploration
of outer space—a dimension that
will occupy the thinking of man
kind for several centuries.”
Sen. Johnson closed the informal
session by complimenting A&M for
the fine and outstanding leaders
the college has produced and con
tinues to produce each year. /
The Senator broke into a broad
smile and commented, “My only re
gret toward A&M College is that
I never had the opportunity to be
a Texas Aggie.”
El Paso Inmate Named
Prison Rodeo Champion
Champion inmate rider of the
28th annual Texas Prison Rodeo

the performance that he was able
to pull his record from the bottom
of the list to third place with $140

clude E. A. (Cotton) Morris, a lifer
