THE BATTALION Friday, October 23, 1959 page 5 \^ e lch Foundation Research Given to Grants College University Dames Style Show . . . rehearsal for Sunday performance Dames Set Style Show The A&M Chapter of the Uni versity Dames Club will hold its annual “Having An Affair With Fashion” this Sunday from 3-5 p.m. in the Memorial Student Cen ter Ballroom. This year’s show i s given by Pruitt’s Fabric Shop 0 f College Station with models selected by Pruitt’s and from the Aggie Wives’ Clubs. Mrs. William B. Chapman, chairman of the show, said the ■show was being given again this Judging Team Cops Second at National Kansas City Meet A&M’s senior meats judging team won second place in a na tional contest held at the Amer* iean Royal Livestock Show at Kan sas City, Mo. Coach Frank A. Orts, research assistant in the Department of Animal Husbandry, said the team was first in beef grading and lamb carcass judging. Team members were Don Os bourn of Valley Spring, fourth high individual in beef grading; Joe Joyce of San Marcos, fourth high individual overall; Henry Fitzhugh of San Antonio, 10th high man overall; and Leroy Keese of Bandera. Kansas State University took first place in the contest. year because it received such a good reception last year. Mrs. Chapman also said this was the first time a fashion show bas ed on patterns has been given in this area. Patterns are from Vo gue, McCall’s and Simplicity chos en by and made from fabrics from Pruitt’s. Clothes will be shown for all ages and styles will vary from sport clothes and little girls’ clothes to evening gowns. Tickets are 50
