Charlie Milstead is running close
behind league leading Don Mere
dith in total offense as the SWC
statistics begin to stack up.
The third total offense' position
is held down by Jesse McGuire who
has gained 6.6 yards per try to
put him second in the leading ball
carrier column.
In the punt return division the
Aggies have three men in the top
six. Milstead has averaged 14
yards per carry, Jon Few has av
eraged 13.7 yards and McGuire
has run back three with a 11.7
yard average.

Last week’s game helped Randy
Sims pull into second place
pass receiving. His average gain
per pass is 10.8 yards.
Milstead holds down second
place in scoring with 18 points
scored on three touchdowns. Mc
Guire also enters into this column
with 14 total points. He has scored
two touchdowns and run one ex
tra point.
A&M is third in total offense
with 1007 yards. The Aggies boast
a .590 per cent on passes completed
and are second to Baylor who has
.600.
The team conversion column is
held down by Texas with eight
points and the Cadets follow with
seven on one run and five kicks.
Arkansas and Texas are unde
feated in four games to hold the
lead spot in the conference. A&M
is third with three wins out of
four games.
SMU has won two and lost one,
Rice has lost two and tied one,
Baylor has won one and lost two
and TCU has won two and lost
two.

Milstead Second in Total Offense
Charley Milstead, the Aggies’ big gun in their, three
straight wins over intersectional foes, is still running, be
hind SMU’s Don Meredith in the total offense department.
Milstead has 378 yards total gain while the Mustang Ace
boasts 411, but Milstead has 102 yards rushing to Mere
dith’s meager 16. * •>?.

Final qualifying rounds for
swimming and diving intramurals
were held yesterday with Galindo
turning the highest point score
in diving.
Following in the class A division
were Reinhardt, Sqd. 12; Johnson,
Co. F-l, McGinty, Co. G-2 and
Rodriques, Co. E-l.
In the class B diving Humber,
Co. G-2 was the top man. He was
followed by Gurley, Sq. 1; Smith,
Co. H-2, Pearce, Sq. 10 and Kelly,
Sq. 7.
Today all swimming and diving
events will hold the final compe
tition, starting at 7:45.

style will be Shewart, Hart; Trues-

Frogs clash Saturday in Fort
Worth it will be the 49th meeting
between the two teams in rivalry
that dates back to 1897. . .a 62
year span.
The Farmers hold the edge in
the won-lost column with 29 wins
against 15 defeats and five ties.
The Froggies have won seven
Southwest Conference champion
ships during their tenure in the
conference while the Aggies have
copped the title eight and one half
times, tying for the title in 1940
with the SMU Mustangs. The
Frogs’ last championship was in
1958 while the Aggies copped their
