According to Cadet Maj Hop
Richards, advisory drill instructor,
the team ia now drilling fire days
a week and marching as a full
unit. Richards says Rica, an ex-
manne drill instructor, is doing
an impressive job in organising
and preparing the new “Fish”
team
This year the team is planning
to make many public appearances,
Richards said Some of these
performances will be given in ^hia
area during high school basket-
bail games and other school func
tions. Other places that will ha
visited by the team throughout
the year will he the Armed Forces
Day in Houston, the Battle of
Flowers in San Antonio, Splash
Day in Galveston and the George
Washington Celebration in leu-ado

professor of entomology, will con
duct a seminar on insect vectors
of humsn diseases in the Far
Fast on Oct 30 m the Biological
Science Building from 1-2 pm.
Dr. J. C. Gaines, head of the
Department of Entomology, said
that everyone was welcome to at
tend the seminar, hut that it
would he particularly interesting
to pra-med and pro-vet majors.
While Hightower was in the
Army, he was stationed m the
tar Last where he received first
hand knowledge of the human dis
eases of that area, Gaines said.

Catholic Chapel Sunday
The new $2M0,000 St. Marys
Chapel located st North Gate will
be dedicated in memory of Msgr.
J. B. Gtiesancr, paster of Cathohc
Aggies siaca DM>4, with a Solemn
High Mass Sunday morning at 11.
Msgr Glaissner, who worked
with the students frem DHM until
h» death in 19o3, first conceived
the idea of a new church in 1944,
when he saw that the present
chapel whan seated less than 300
was too small. He didn't live to
see his dieam realised.
The Most Rev. L, J. Rate her,
! D.D., Biahop of Auelia, will offi
ciate at the Mass Sunday and will
be assisted by four former A4M
students. They are Rev. Earnest
Michalka of LaPurte, and Rev
James Kelson, Rev. James Demp
sey and Rav. Jamaa Goiaaioaki, ail
i of Houston.
Rt Rev John J. Kearns of W aco,
Vicar General of the Austin Dio
' case, will preach the dedication
^ sermon. The Knights of St. Greg
ory and the Fourth Degree Knights
j of t olambus will form an honor
guard inside the chapel while 100
Catholic Aggies will form an honor
• guard around the church outside
An informal banquet will be
served to the clergy and dignitar
ies in St. Mary's Student Centei
after the Mass, and a dinner open
to all will be seiveu at the same
time on the center grounds.
Funds for the new chapel were
hard-coming because the church
has no regular parishoners A
committee was formed in 1944 to
confect students, former students,
parents, friends sad ratho.u or
ganisations to ask for donations.
C onstruction on the colonial-style
structure was begun In June, 19oS
and completed this fall The build

The Rev. Tim J. Yalenta, who
came to Bryan in 1933 as a newly
orddined priest. Is pastor of the
chapel. Tha Rev. Charles Elmti
is dhaplain to the studants.
