Trail, a phy sicist at the Argonne National Laboratories of the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission, Lemont, 111., is lecturing in the Department of Physics during the second term of the summer session. Dr. J. G. Potter, head of the Department of Physics said that Trail is lecturing in nuclear phy sics tlu-ough Aug. 22. The visiting lecturer received three degrees from A&M, his B. S. in 1949, M. S. in 1951 and Ph. D. in 1956. From 1952 to 1954 he held a fellowship at the Oak Ridge Insti tute of Nuclear Studies. Ag Education Sends Five to Dallas Five staff members from the De partment of Agricultural Education are participating in the State Workshop for Texas Teachers of Vocational Agriculture in Dallas. The workshop ends tomorrow. E. V. Walton, E. L. Tiner, R. N. Craig, O. M. Holt and Dr. J. D. Gray are assisting in various workshop activities of the confer ence. Atkins, Porter Attend Meeting Dr. I. M. Atkins and Dr. K. B. Porter are at Purdue University attending a meeting of the Ameri can Agronomy Soicety which will last through Monday. The meet ing began today. in Texas at the present time. From Purdue, Atkins and Por ter will go to Winnipeg, Canada, where the International Wheat Genetic Confexence will be held Aug. 11-15. Atkins is head of the small grain research program of the Texas Ag ricultural Experiment Station and the U. S. Department of Agi’icul- ture. Atkins plans to take a short vacation upon the completion of the conference in Winnipeg and will return to the campus late in August.
