In Race for Crown

In the top of the fifth TCU re

Percy Sanderson, sophomore right

fore Rode Gonzales came in to take
over for the winner, Ken Wine-
burg, and kill the threat.
Gonzales did not give up a hit
in the last three innings, but the
Frogs added two more scores to
their total when Charles Franklin
reached first on a single, scoring
Gonzales from second. On the
throw to the plate Sanderson made
an attempt to play it, but the ball

The massacre ended, when for
the second game in a row, Coach
Bell sent in a pinch hitter in the
last of the ninth to strike out.
