The life of a religious brother
was described Sunday for the Ag
gie Newman Club by Brother Bar
tel of the Holy Cross Brothers
stationed at Saint Edward’s Uni
versity in Austin.
Addressing the club on the sub
ject of vocations, Bartel said that
the life of a religious brother is
widely misunderstood.
He also discussed the importance
of picking the right vocation in
life and stated that no matter what
one’s vocation, he must cooperate
with God in order to be success
ful.
Bartel, whose territory covers 27
states, each year travels from
coast to coast speaking at Army
camps and before Newman Clubs.
Delvin Lefner, president of the
club, announced that a charcoal
burger fry for all members and
their guests will be held tonight at
Saint Mary’s Student Center. Tick
ets are available through Wing
and Regiment chaplains and dorm
representatives.
Social Whirl
Geology Wives Club will meet at
8 tonight in the Brooks room of
