A&M Women’s Social Club will
hold a luncheon at 12:30 p. m. Fri
day, Feb. 28, at the Briarcrest
Country Club in Bryan.

starting Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 8 a. m.
The deadline for ordering these announce
ments is Thursday, March 13. Prices are

board bound, 40 cents; leather bound, 75
cents.
CANDIDATE FOR DEGREE
Any student who normally expects to

by the end of the current semester should
call’ by the Registrar’s Office NOW and
make formal application for a degree.
March 1 is the deadline for filing an
application for a degree to be conferred at
the end of the currant semester. This
deadline applies to both graduate and
undergraduate students.

To Entertain Conferees’ Wives
A series of parties is planned for
wives of conferees attending the
Annual Industrial Teacher Confer
ence at A&M this Friday and Sat
urday.
Hostesses will be Industrial Edu
cation Department wives and the
Industrial Education Student Wives
Club.
“We Went Dutch” is the subject
of a program to be given in the
social room of the Memorial Stu
dent Center at 7:30 p. m. Friday by
Mrs. R. E. Odom, wife of one of
the professors in the Floriculture
Department.
Mrs. Odom, a graduate of Texas
Woman’s University and a grad
uate student of Oklahoma State
University, will describe some of
the Dutch customs she observed
while her husband was a graduate
student at the Netherlands Agri
culture University in Holland for
one year.
Members of the Student Wives
Club will be hostesses for this oc
casion.
On Saturday morning the ladies
will be honored at a coffee in the
home of Mrs. C. H. Groneman,
wife of the head of the Industrial
Education Department, with the
wives of the industrial education
staff assisting as hostesses.
In charge of making arrange

Alle, chairman, Mrs. R. W. Duke,

high priority but the final de
cision depends on how vitally
other campus improvements are
needed. Dr. Harrington said the
proposal will be studied each year
until it is accepted.
So an armory at A&M could be
built by one of two means. A
bill giving federal aid for such
buildings throughout the nation
would make it almost a sure
thing. If such a bill is never
passed by Congress, A&M might
rely on its own available funds
and proceed with the building.
